Dr Adam Ervine is a registered Fire Safety Engineer with 15 years of international academic and commercial experience, specialising in the review, assessment, and analysis of fire and its impact on structures, life safety, and the environment.
Over Dr Ervine’s impressive career, he has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience, gaining a reputation as a trusted expert in developing creative and cost-effective fire-engineered solutions that resolve even the most complex design challenges, all with an eye toward practical outcomes. Dr Ervine has specialised content expertise in fire dynamics, structural fire analysis, occupant characteristics, computational modelling, and risk assessments. This experience spans diverse projects featuring a range of building types, including residential, hotel, retail, commercial, industrial, aged care, education, and airport facilities, in addition to mixed use developments.
Throughout Dr Ervine’s career he has worked on some of the most complex projects and investigations around the world, including the analysis of the World Trade Centre collapse in New York, the structural fire analysis of the Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre in New Zealand, the fire and life safety design for the renovation and refurbishment of Africa Hall in Ethiopia, as well as being the fire engineering lead on Queensland Australia’s Queens Wharf, one of the largest building projects in the southern hemisphere.
